I'm buying some bulbs, good prices found

I need a frag tank bulb and found this site, http://www.soslightbulbs.com/aquariumbulbs.aspx I used them when I needed bulbs for my fixture and everything went smooth.

Phoenix for $47-50 and radiums for $70. Im getting the phoenix 150w DE, Keith, if you need one let me know. I have a code for free shipping, I just have to find it. If anybody else is interested in getting some let me know.

 

how do they have them so cheap? are they seconds? if not that is an awsome price

 

I checked out the company so they run great promotions in the bulbs that are big sellers

 

I talked to them on the phone, they said they just order a ton of stuff at once to get good deals. Reputable place, no issues with my previous order. If anybody is interested let me know and I will find the coupon code for free shipping.

I know its a long shot, but we can get a 10% discount if we order 25+ bulbs. I doubt there will be that many but if the interest is big enough it could save a couple dollars.

Do they only have MH bulbs or do they also carry 6 foot VHO actinics??? I need 3 MH and 3 six foot VHOs. I would appreciate being included in a group purchase or having the free shipping code.

I dont see any listed on their site, however I do think they carry hagen bulbs (not sure about VHO). I will find out for you Monday. I will also find out shipping and payment methods. I'm assuming we can each pay individually and have shipped to our own address with the free shipping code, for the 10% off group buy I'm not positive.

Others that have interest, please let me know. Also, if possible, let me know how many and what kind of bulbs you want.

I ordered my bulb yesterday and received a tracking number for shipment today. The code worked fine and my total cost for a 150w de Phoenix was $47.99.

Stan, they did say an additional 10% discount would be given if 25+ bulbs were ordered. Once I found the code I ordered my bulb and forgot to ask but will shoot them an email when I get home in the morning. I don't know if to qualify all of the bulbs will have to be shipped to one address or not. I also don't know if we will be able to pay individually or have to pay as a group. The only issue I see with that would be telling them we are going to reach that 25 and only buying 15. They seem pretty quick to respond so I should know something late afternoon.

 

Ok, I just got off the phone with SOS and here is the deal. That code, Aqua2010, will get you free shipping on your order, I've searched for those bulbs before and it was the best price I could find. Free shipping it just icing on the cake.

If we want the additional 10% group buy discount, it has to be conducted in the old school group buy way. One order listing all of the bulbs to be purchased, and one payment to the company. That means one person would be responsible for either gathering the money before hand or fronting the money out of their own pocket. The minimum order is 25 bulbs. If some of you want to get together and pull funds together to do this you are more than welcome. Just let me know and I can contact them and tell them to expect an order. I personally used the code, saved a couple of bucks on shipping and I'm content with that.
