Hi all, new to this forum. I just had my tank set up 4 days ago and I noticed that my filter sock keep overflowing with foamy frothy bubbles. I tried to rinse it off and clean it but no help. I took the flex hose out of the sock and I can see that there are quite a bit of bubbles coming out of this hose from the overflow, and even just submerging that hose into the sump without a sock is resulting in foam building up in the sump.
Anyone have any insight as to what is going on and how to fix it?

    Thanks!!

Did you use R.O. water only ? Almost sounds like there is something in your water.

I ended up draining the tank as best I could. refilled it with RODI water, got the salinity and temp set up, added Frtzzyme and a couple small clowns. This is what the LFS recommended. I am still getting a little bubbling in the sump, but not even close to what it was. I also cut back the flow from my return pump and that seemed to help immensely. I am hoping with continued water changes once Im established, and the tank maturing a little, the problem will continue to dwindle.
